We took possession of the Gasche House on February 27, 2017. For us it was realizing a lifelong dream to own a bed and breakfast. We didn’t know what to expect or have any idea how to run a b&b – but we learned in a hurry!
We had a lot of help from Jayne Churchmack who owned the Market Street Inn at the time. We also had a lot of help from Laura Neill and the wonderful people at the Ohio Light Opera.
It has been a great year and we’ve had a lot of interesting people stay with us. We’ve made a lot of changes to the Gasche House, and I believe it shows in the fact we went from # 4 to #2 on Trip Advisor ratings of B&B and Inns in Wooster.
We found that the real joy of owning the Gasche House has been the people we have met. Everyone has a story and many of them are fascinating. The OLO staff and attendees, the parents and College of Wooster students, the Alumni, the Town of Wooster, the visitors to the area, all add to the mix of people!
We have some lofty goals for 2018. Foremost among those goals is continuing to make improvements to the Gasche House so each of our guests has a great experience when they stay.
